Our Story
The Vientiane Capitol began as Capitol Residence,
established by my parents in 2013 as a serviced residence in the heart of
Vientiane. Designed to welcome both visitors to the city and the people
closest to us, it was created as a place where everyone could feel
comfortable and at home.
As project manager, I named it Capitol Residence, inspired by Capitol Hill in Seattle, where I once lived. Its strong sense of community, character, and everyday livability left a lasting impression and inspired the name.
After managing the property in its early years, I stepped away to pursue my work in textiles before eventually returning with a renewed vision. The goal was never to start over, but to build upon what already existed and thoughtfully shape its next chapter.
Today, reimagined as The Vientiane Capitol, the property continues that story while staying true to its original spirit. To me, home is more than a place - it's a feeling of comfort, warmth, and belonging. It is this feeling we hope every guest experiences throughout their stay.
